July 29-30, 2016 Byram will be hosting their Second Annual Swinging Bridge Festival and 5K. The festival begins Friday with a traveling carnival with rides and games provided by Mississippi Delta Shows.The Prime-time entertainer on Friday night is Jarekus Singleton.

Saturday morning, at the First Baptist Church, there will be a 5K run at 7:00 a.m.with registration at 6:00 a.m., followed by a walk and kid's fun run. Those who choose to stay for the festival will be shuttled from First Baptist Church to the Jackson Dragway. Also on Saturday is our "Byram Idol" singing competition and a line-up of over 100+ classic cars and motorcycles on display. Saturday's live nighttime show will feature American Idol Season 11 top five finisher Skylar Laine.

Come out for this awesome family event Friday, July 29-30 from noon to 9:00 p.m.! This event will include a carnival and a motorized wagon ride on the 29th. A 5K race, the "Byram Idol" singing competition, and a car and motorcycle show on July 30. Dexter Allen, Shadz of Grey, Jarekus Singleton and Skylar Laine will perform.
