Saturday, April 21st is the Walk MS at Trustmark Park. Site opens at 8:00 a.m. and the walk begins at 9:00 a.m. Admission is free! Receive a tee shirt with fundraising or donation of $100.

Come on out to the Mississippi Braves Stadium for a Food Truck Mashup! This family friendly event begins at 5:00 p.m. and goes until 11:00 p.m. and offers food trucks, activities, and live music! General admission is $5.00.

If you are a lover of the Mississippi State Fair and all the great fair food and fun that comes with it, this carnival is always a great event to enjoy with the family! It was held near the Outlets of Mississippi in Pearl from May 9-May 22! Times and prices differentiate on certain days but the link provided gives all the info you need. Plan to attend this fun event when it's back in town next year!

If you are a baseball lover, Trustmark Park is a place you need to visit! Trustmark is a beautiful stadium and it's home to the Mississippi Braves. This coming Tuesday, April 4, 2017, Trustmark Park will be hosting the Southern Miss Golden Eagles vs. Ole Miss Rebels baseball game! Tickets can be purchased now and the game starts at 6:30 p.m.!!

For those of you who don't know, CARA is a Community Animal Rescue and Adoption shelter in Jackson, Mississippi. CARA is a true no-kill shelter and they take in pets, sick and/or injured also, rescue them and try to find "Furever" homes for them! This is such a great organization here in Mississippi and we hope that you will go out and support some of their events! Saturday, April 1, 2017, CARA will be hosting a Dog Days family event at Bass Pro Shop in Pearl, MS from 11:30 a..m.-2:30 p.m. This is a free event and all ages are welcome!

Walk MS charity walk will take place at Trustmark Park Saturday, April 23 at 9:00 am. The funds raised will go towards those affected by multiple sclerosis in the Jackson area. This is also a great celebration with live music, food and children's activities. There is no cost to participate but prizes are awarded based on the amount of funds raised!

Park Place has grown over the years and now has over 600 students ranging from K3 to 12th grade. In the last year or so they have started a Dyslexia Resource Center to specifically address the needs of students with Dyslexia. They also partner with Sevenstar Academy to give students an even more diverse selection of courses.
